Shin is built for two people, not an audience. AI helps you understand each other, but only with what you’ve chosen to share, and never with what’s meant for you alone.
Your wishes are closed to AI.
Manifest Jar notes are never read by AI or analysed. Only the person who wrote a note can ever read it.
Sealed means sealed.
Answers only become part of your insights after you’ve both opened them — never while they’re sealed.
Your insights are yours.
Anything Shin learns about you privately is never shown to your partner unless you choose to share it.

How does Shin use AI?
Shin uses Claude, by Anthropic, to write a short weekly insight from the answers you’ve both opened, notice patterns over time, pick questions that suit you two, and help you find common ground after a hard conversation. It never reads your Manifest Jar or anything that’s still sealed.
Can AI read my manifests?
No. Notes in the Manifest Jar are never read by AI or analysed. Only the person who wrote a note can ever read it.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your answers and notes are not used to train AI models.
Is this therapy?
No. Shin isn’t therapy or medical advice — it’s a new way to talk about your relationship. If you’re going through something hard, a professional can help in ways an app can’t.
Who can read our answers?
Your daily answers stay sealed until you’ve both written yours; then only the two of you can open them. Notes in the Manifest Jar can only ever be read by the person who wrote them.
How do we pair?
One of you shares an invite code from the app, the other enters it, and you’re paired. Shin only works in twos — the first question arrives once you’re both in.
